Call Them “Doctor” — Compton Unified School District’s (CUSD) Board of Trustees and Superintendent Darin Brawley recognized CUSD’s latest crop of Doctoral degree recipients, Tuesday, October 8, during the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting. This year’s honorees are, in first row from left to right: CUSD Pupil Services’ Jacquelyn Arion, Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Argosy University; Compton High School Principal Letitia Bradley, Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, USC; Walton Middle School Principal Rose Marie Hickman, Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, University of La Verne; and Laurel Elementary School Principal Frank Lozier, Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, UCLA. In second row, third to the right, is CUSD Middle School Opportunity Program Administrator Lori Body, Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Argosy University. Honorees also included Roosevelt Middle School sixth grade English and Social Studies Instructor Viola Scott, Ed.D. Educational Leadership, CSU Fullerton, who was unable to attend.
