Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Donald Penn and his wife, Dominique, will host their annual football and cheer day camp on June 3 at El Camino College. Children from the ages of eight through 18 years old can participate in the day camp. Hundreds of children who are interested in football will learn drills and skills from NFL players. Those interested in cheerleading will learn dance and cheer routines.

Last year, Oakland Raiders cornerback Sean Smith, Denver Broncos offensive tackle Menelik Watson, and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Neiko Thorpe were some of the pro players in attendance. The Laker Girls also participated, assisting in teaching the cheer camp. The day ended with the cheer group performing a dance routine, as well as 7-on-7 passing league competitions.

Penn is a native of Los Angeles and attended St. Bernard High School, where he earned accolades in football and basketball. He and Dominique started the Donald Penn Foundation or “Penn Pals” in 2009 to empower marginalized, inner city youth.

2017 marks the sixth year anniversary of the football camp and third year for the cheer camp. For registration information, visit www.donaldpennfootball.com/camp
