Paris-based fashion house Louis Vuitton has named Kanye West collaborator Virgil Abloh as its new menswear designer.

The 37-year-old is founder of the Off-White label and will become, alongside Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, one of only two people of color in charge of a major fashion house. He replaces Kim Jones, who left in January to become men’s wear designer for Christian Dior.

In a statement, Abloh said “I find the heritage and creative integrity of the House are key inspirations and will look to reference them both while drawing parallels to modern times.”

Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke Monday praised Abloh’s “innate creativity and disruptive approach (that) have made him so relevant, not just in the world of fashion but in popular culture today.”

The company says Abloh’s first show will take place during men’s fashion week in Paris in June.

Aries March 21 – April 19

You could be more rebellious than ever now that the sun is in your sign and Venus is linking to Uranus. The desire to throw caution to the wind and take a risk may be very pronounced. However, there is something that you need to let go of or finish before you can do what you want to do. Once you’ve done this, things will go much more quickly. Be especially careful not to annoy anyone in authority on Thursday.

Taurus April 20 – May 20

Although everything in your world seems quite stable right now, you can’t help but feel a bit antsy. You’re restless without really knowing why. There may be an idea, vision, or dream within you just waiting to be born. Amid the busyness of your daily life, try to find some time for reflection and give this idea or heartfelt desire a chance to reveal itself. Then you’ll know what to do. On Thursday, don’t be too hasty. Think things through.

Gemini May 21 – June 21

With Mercury now retrograde in your social zone, you might want to do some background research before you get involved in a community project or team plan. Taking time to get your thoughts in coherent form will give you a much better chance of success. Friends may be encouraging you to go wild, break out of the mold, and take a risk. Be especially careful on Thursday, however. Do yourself a favor and refuse to be drawn into any dubious schemes, especially if they promise instant riches.

Cancer June 22 – July 22

You could be forgiven for wondering what is going on with your career. New work may come out of the blue without you doing anything much to chase it, while jobs that have been ongoing could be subject to change. Think carefully on Thursday, when one situation may come to a head. You might need to make an important decision. The full moon in your wellness zone on Saturday can be a call to indulge in some self-care and make it a regular habit.

Leo July 23 – August 22

Concerning home and family matters, you appear to be attracting good things your way. Lucky Jupiter in this sector can be perfect for thinking outside the box and researching options that could bring a new beginning. However, you do need to be careful of Mercury retrograde. This isn’t the best time to take a risk. You can prepare for when this phase is over. With a lovely full moon in your communication zone on Saturday, you could feel especially attracted to a wonderful person.

Virgo August 23 – September 22

You love learning and teaching, which is why the current planetary setup is so good for you. If you have knowledge that no one else has, you could make a lot of money by selling your skills. This is also a good time to plan and perhaps earn a fortune. Even though upbeat Jupiter in your communication zone is retrograde, don’t worry. It’s better to start than not to bother at all. At the time of the full moon on Saturday, try to avoid spending too much.

Libra September 23 – October 22

A sparkling attraction could get the week off to a great start. Will this bond last? It can if you nurture it. However, it’s often the small things that go wrong that frustrate us when Mercury is retrograde, as it is now. In your case, it could be an issue with a lover or friend that you can’t seem to resolve. As lovely Venus enters a more intense sector of your chart, you could find that a special romance becomes closer and more intimate, just the way you like it.

Scorpio October 23 – November 21

While work relationships continue to flourish, you can and should make the most of them. There is ample opportunity to go far, especially if you decide to become a partner in a creative team or pair up with another person to accomplish something special. Don’t stop now, because you have so much to gain. Regarding health, you may find you get sporadic aches and pains that are largely due to stress. Stay relaxed and consider learning to meditate. It could benefit you enormously.

Sagittarius November 22 – December 21

You are eager to have fun and more willing to take a risk, whether by initiating a romance or going on an adventure. While cost could be an issue, you might be willing to pay the extra money if the experience is worth it. With bubbly Venus entering your lifestyle sector on Friday, a soothing massage could be just perfect. A full moon in your social sector over the weekend can be excellent for a celebration or other get-together, and it could be a lot of fun.

Capricorn December 22 – January 19

With communicator Mercury currently retrograde, it would help to keep a grip on your household expenses. It might be wise to plan for the coming week, month, and even year and make a list of what you spend every day. The more you can keep track of everything, the easier it will be to keep your home happy and in good order. When lovely Venus enters your romance zone on Friday, your love life could sparkle with sensual delights.

Aquarius January 20 – February 18

You could get a message from a former lover or college pal inviting you to get back in touch. Don’t turn down this invitation, because it might work out better than you think. The chance to catch up and perhaps renew the relationship is a real possibility. On another note, be careful that you don’t give out mixed signals, because someone may think you feel something for them when you’re just being nice. From Friday, your home can be a haven of peace and nurturing.

Pisces February 19 – March 20

With Mercury retrograde in your personal financial zone, make sure you check your bank statements and take extra care when purchasing anything online. Keep your credit cards safe, too, as this is one time when they are more likely to get lost. Life at home seems especially blessed from Friday. This can be a great time to invest in your property by enhancing it in whatever way seems appropriate. You might even want to splurge on giving your place a whole new look.

Two-time Emmy winner RuPaul Friday March 16, became the latest celebrity immortalized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

RuPaul fought back tears as he accepted the star in front of the World of Wonder production offices at 6652 Hollywood Blvd. World of Wonder produces VH1’s “RuPaul's Drag Race,” which brought RuPaul prime-time Emmys as outstanding host of a reality or reality-competition program in 2016 and 2017.

“I am overcome with so much emotion right now,” RuPaul said. “You know, ... as a kid we’d come up here and they’d drop me off right here on Hollywood Boulevard so I could look at all the stars and dream that one day I could be one of the starts on Hollywood Boulevard. In fact, it was a dream that I wasn't sure how I would achieve it, but I had so much support from my family and my faith in a benevolent universe, and that is what has brought me here today.

“I love all of you and I wish for each and every person within the sound of my voice that your dreams can come true as mine have,” he said. “This is absolutely the most important moment of my professional career. Thank you so much.”

“Behind the glamour, behind the drag queen, is a man of great depth, incredible intelligence, compassion,” Fonda said. “... Lily and I were interviewed by RuPaul and ... I have never had anybody that created such a great interview. ... There were questions that came from his depth and his heart to bring me and Lily out as human beings. I was so impressed by that.”

Born RuPaul Andre Charles on Nov. 17, 1960, in San Diego, he later studied theater at the North Atlanta School of Performing Arts.

Aries March 21 – April 19

Your feelings may be validated when a discussion with someone you trust enables you to feel heard and understood. A lovely lineup on Monday can be excellent for talking over an issue and perhaps benefiting from any advice. The sun enters your sign on Tuesday, meaning that the next four weeks could see you making great strides with your personal plans. Go easy from Thursday, however, because chatty Mercury turns retrograde in your sign. Be aware of the possibility of mixed messages.

Taurus April 20 – May 20

The focus is on your spiritual sector this week, perhaps bringing insights and revelations your way. You could have a strong connection to emotions that run beneath the surface. Should you need to talk about them, this could be easier as well. In fact, you might feel great relief from getting them out in the open. Chatty Mercury turns retrograde in this same zone on Thursday, and this could make it easier to remember your dreams and tap in to any intuitive nudges.

Gemini May 21 – June 21

Socially, things are looking good for you now. With lovely Venus and inquisitive Mercury, your guide planet, in your friendship zone, the days ahead can bring fun events and pleasant encounters. The sun moves into this sector on Tuesday for a four-week stay, and this could inspire you to make a few changes. If you’re interested in a subject, joining a club could bring it to life for you. Mercury, your guide planet, turns retrograde midweek, and this could coincide with delays or misunderstandings.

Cancer June 22 – July 22

If you want to impress someone, the coming days and weeks could be the best time to do so. Using a mixture of charm and witty conversation, you may find that progress becomes possible. People may be drawn to you, and you can use this to your advantage. Once the sun enters this same sector on Tuesday, you may be propelled into the spotlight. If you have talents to share, this is the time to do so. Mercury turns retrograde midweek, however, so watch out for mistakes or misunderstandings.

Leo July 23 – August 22

Are you ready for adventure? If so, the coming week could encourage you to follow your heart. In fact, a discussion with a friend could act as a catalyst and encourage you to book a trip. Once the sun enters your sector of far horizons on Tuesday, you could be propelled into experiences that expand your mind. However, if you’re traveling, Mercury’s retrograde phase begins on Thursday, which could mean delays or detours. With the right mindset, these can be fun, too.

Virgo August 23 – September 22

With expressive Mercury, your guide planet, aligning with lovely Venus in an intense sector of your chart, conversations could reveal much. You might be eager to get beneath the surface of a relationship issue so you can understand what’s going on. It seems you’ll succeed and a solution will be found. Midweek, chatty Mercury turns retrograde in this same sector, so go easy regarding business matters or any issue with shared finances. Check the terms and conditions before you sign on the dotted line.

Libra September 23 – October 22

Relationships sparkle with promise, and you may find that any important conversations seem to work out well. If you’re looking for a compromise or hoping to heal a tricky situation, you’ll likely manage. Once the sun enters your sector of relating on Tuesday, you could become aware of ways in which you can improve certain relationships. It might mean rewriting some of those unspoken rules, but this can be very worthwhile. However, starting Thursday, upbeat Mercury’s retrograde phase hints at the possibility of misunderstandings. Go easy!

Scorpio October 23 – November 21

As dynamic Mars continues its journey through your sector of communication, you may become aware of opportunities that are still waiting for you. All you need is the courage to embrace them. The coming days and weeks could see you doing just that. There’s a lot of activity in your sector of routines and wellness, with the cosmos encouraging you to get involved with those things that excite you the most. If you want to exercise daily, pick something you enjoy. That way you’ll keep up the discipline.

Sagittarius November 22 – December 21

Leisure options seem particularly upbeat over the coming days. Whether you’re eager to pursue a new hobby, sport, or love interest, it all seems to be coming together very well. However, lively Mercury, your relationship planet, turns retrograde in this same zone midweek. You may be drawn to activities that you enjoyed as a child, and experimenting with these could be very therapeutic. Over the weekend, don’t let anyone dissuade you from following your heart, especially if it feels good to do so.

Capricorn December 22 – January 19

This month holds plenty of activity on the home front. Whether you’re entertaining guests or doing your own thing, it all looks like it will be fun. This can be a good time for a celebration or get-together, as a lovely blend of energies can ensure that everyone has a good time. Inquisitive Mercury turns retrograde in this same sector midweek. If you’re buying gadgets for the home or thinking about investing in remodeling, keep any receipts and paperwork in case you need a refund.

Aquarius January 20 – February 18

You could get involved in some exciting conversations in the days ahead, and these might propel you into fresh adventures. Whatever you’ve been thinking about could now become a reality. With the sun entering your sector of talk and thought on Tuesday, you may become aware of one opportunity that’s just waiting for you to embrace it. However, messenger Mercury turns retrograde on Thursday, and will remain so until April 15. Be cautious when closing deals or purchasing expensive items.

Pisces February 19 – March 20

A conversation about a purchase could work out in your favor. With just a little charm, you may be able to persuade a significant other to buy you something you’ve always wanted. When the sun moves into your money zone on Tuesday, it might be time to take stock and tweak your budget so it can help you save money. However, Mercury rewinds in your financial zone from Thursday, so keep receipts if you’re purchasing anything important or expensive.
