The South Coast Air Quality Management District announced today it will speed up the permitting process for those businesses helping in the fight against COVID-19.

While normal permit fees will apply, South Coast AQMD will not require expediting fees for companies assisting with the COVID-19 response.

Processing and issuance of permits are considered essential functions during the COVID-19 response as part of the agency's efforts to improve air quality and protect public health and safety, according to the agency.
