Attention all high school students! Create an artwork celebrating the unique character of your neighborhood and its connection to the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, and it may be used to inspire the design of commemorative pins!

Metro is producing eight commemorative pins to represent each of the new Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project stations: Expo/Crenshaw, Martin Luther King, Jr., Leimert Park, Hyde Park, Fairview Heights, Downtown Inglewood, Westchester/ Veterans and Aviation/Century.

The winning artworks will be the inspiration for eight final pins, which will be distributed to the public free of charge in celebration of the new rail stations. Eight winning artworks will be selected by a panel of local community leaders and cultural figures. Students whose artworks are selected will receive a complete set of the commemorative pins.

This contest is open to high school students only, grades 9-12. One entry per student will be reviewed.
