No one does it like Los Angeles does it. Facts.

Connecting the dots and flexing our support in as many ways as we can, the Ovation Hollywood (formerly Hollywood & Highland), has partnered with the NAACP and media partner KJLH radio to host NAACP Live!, an interactive pop-up experience taking place in conjunction with the 53rd NAACP Image Awards along Awards Walk at Ovation Hollywood from Thursday, February 24 through Saturday, February 26.

The pop-up will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Did you get all that? Let me recap. Thursday, February 24 through Saturday, February 26 visitors of NAACP Live! will have the opportunity to support a variety of local, black-owned businesses including art, home decor, and apparel marketplace DomolINK; beauty and personal care brand Amp Beauty LA; African high culture jewelry brand Fubala Jewelry; and high-end premium streetwear Meraki Gianni.

And why is that important? Because according to many consumer surveys our people have approximately $1.4+ trillion in spending power, and it’s vital to circulate that money inside our communities.

To that end, and with that spirit of Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) take this opportunity to support NAACP Live!, which will take place at Suite #125 along the prestigious Awards Walk at Ovation Hollywood from Thursday, February 24 through Saturday, February 26.

“NAACP Live! is an ovation to small businesses, organizers, and creatives central to the communities they serve and to our mission to create a truly inclusive democracy and economy. We want to celebrate them–their businesses, their stories, and their drive for success,” said Aba G. Blankson, Chief Marketing, and Communications Officer.

“We are proud to partner with the NAACP to produce this first-of-its-kind experience at Ovation Hollywood and to support local black-owned businesses.” Ed Murphy, Senior General Manager at Ovation Hollywood.

The pop-up will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
