Blair is more than just a singer. She’s a visionary, an artist, a writer, a director, a Human, and a Black woman set to denounce the labels placed on women in the music industry and the world in general.

On Friday, April 1st, Blair released three songs from her new project, “Three Sides to Everything”, which is set to release at the end of the month.

“This [EP] is my introduction into the world musically, so I’m excited for people to get a gist of who I am as an artist, but also who I am as a person and a woman,” shared Blair in an interview with the Watts Times.

The remaining four tracks in “Three Sides to Everything” are set to release on April 29th, 2022. The complete EP will come with a set of visuals, which the artist is particularly looking forward to being released.

Blair has eliminated herself from belonging to a certain genre within the industry. She’s labeled her music as “Soul-try”. Fans should look forward to a range of vibes within her music.

“My sound is moody, smokey, spooky, and immensely vulnerable,” shared the singer. “I kind of pull my Theater background and try to make it bigger than life with the cadences in the record.”

A Howard University Alumna, Blair studied Musical Theater and became classically trained, allowing her to be versatile in song, stage, and dance. Throughout her time in college, she began to construct her vision and sound solely from her life experiences.

“I aim to sit outside of a box,” she continued with, “especially, as a black artist.

We’re often told to sit in a certain category, but black people started most genres, and we belong everywhere.

I want to sit in more an eclectic and spooky place within a pool of genres, but tie in my sexiness to make it vulnerable and sexy and weird.”

Blair uses her platform to encourage vulnerability through the art of expression, something heavily showcased in her music. She is dedicated to building her own influence while developing her own lane in the music industry.

She warns fans to “not think her music is all over the place.” While she doesn’t belong to a certain musical genre, “the awesome thing about being a musician is that you don’t have to sit in one place. I take the elements I want from each, and make it cohesive.”

“Three Sides to Everything” is a reflection of Blair’s personality and soul.

While she admitted to usually making songs and projects about past relationships, she stated that “while experience comes from other beings, a lot of [this project] is me in my head, taking those experiences and learning from them.”

She continued with, “I have things I need to work on. I have my own -isms, things that drive to my own demise, so this project came from learning myself.”

The first three songs in Blair’s debut EP “Three Sides to Everything” is available on Apple Music.
