On April 3, 2022, the cast of ABC’s hit-show, “Black-ish,” celebrated the finale of their eighth and final season at Paley Fest LA.

For the first time in three years, Paley Fest LA returned in person to the Dolby Theater in Hollywood as the hottest festival with exclusive behind-the-scenes conversations with leading starts from the most acclaimed and buzzworthy television shows, screenings of special preview and premiere content, never-before-seen TV footage, and an interactive Q&A with festival attendees.

Paley members and devoted TV fans received a once-in-lifetime experience to meet the “Black-ish” cast, showrunners and executive producer. Originally premiering in 2014, the show has brought huge success to ABC, winning awards, Emmys, and maintaining a continuously strong rating.

The sitcom has also led to numerous spin-off shows such as Freeform’s “Grown-ish” and ABC’s “Mixed-ish.”

The Emmy and Golden-Globe nominated comedy takes a fun, yet bold, look at one man’s determination to establish cultural identity for his family.

A sitcom loosely based off creator Kenya Barris’ own family, “Black-ish” showcases the day-to-day life of an upper-middle class African American Family, the Johnsons.

As a family, the Johnsons deal with personal, political, and even individual problems together.

The show inputs humor and comedy in the everyday lives of Black people navigating life.

In its final season, fans received returns from Andre “Dre” Johnson (Anthony Anderson), Rainbow “Bow” Johnson (Tracee Ellis Ross); Andre “Junior” Johnson (Marcus Scribner), Jack Johnson (Miles Brown), Diane Johnson (Marsai Martin), Roby Johnson (Jenifer Lewis), Pops (Laurence Fishburne), and Olivia Lockhart (Katlyn Nichol).

Paley Fest, an entertainment event produced by The Paley Center for Media, is the premiere television festival in the country. Named in honor of William S. Paley, founder of CBS and The Paley Center for Media, proceeds from the event support his mission to serve as a nonprofit cultural and educational resource in television, radio, and new media.
